अद्य मे संततिर्नष्टा निराशाः पितरो मम । नापुत्रस्य हि लोकोस्ति लुप्तपिंडादिसंस्कृतेः
adya me saṃtatirnaṣṭā nirāśāḥ pitaro mama | nāputrasya hi lokosti luptapiṃḍādisaṃskṛteḥ
ഇന്ന് എന്റെ വംശം നശിച്ചു; എന്റെ പിതൃക്കൾ നിരാശരായി. പിണ്ഡദാനാദി കർമ്മങ്ങൾ മുടങ്ങുന്നതിനാൽ പുത്രനില്ലാത്തവന് സദ്ഗതിയില്ലല്ലോ.
