idānīṃ śrotumicchāmo māhātmyaṃ tripuradviṣaḥ | tadbhaktānāṃ ca māhātmyamaśeṣāghaharaṃ param

ഇപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ ത്രിപുരദ്വേഷി (ശിവൻ)യുടെ മഹാത്മ്യം ശ്രവിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അതുപോലെ അവന്റെ ഭക്തരുടെ പരമ മഹാത്മ്യവും—അത് ശേഷിപ്പില്ലാതെ സർവപാപങ്ങളും ഹരിക്കുന്നു।
