Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 50

सीरजलं येऽपि पिबन्ति लोके मुच्यन्ति ते पापविशेषसङ्घैः । व्रजन्ति संसारमनादिभावं त्यक्त्वा चिरं मोक्षपदं विशुद्धम्

sīrajalaṃ ye'pi pibanti loke mucyanti te pāpaviśeṣasaṅghaiḥ | vrajanti saṃsāramanādibhāvaṃ tyaktvā ciraṃ mokṣapadaṃ viśuddham

ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ ഉഴവുപലകകൊണ്ട് പുറപ്പെട്ട ജലം കുടിക്കുന്നവരും പ്രത്യേക പാപസമൂഹങ്ങളുടെ കൂമ്പാരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിതരാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ദീർഘകാലം നിർമലമായ മോക്ഷപദം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, അവർ വീണ്ടും അനാദിയായ സംസാരഭാവത്തിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു.
