Śiva (Īśvara)
Listener: Pāṇḍava
Scene: Śiva speaks directly: praising Soma’s austerity and inviting him to ask a boon; the moment is intimate, compassionate, and authoritative.
Tapas performed with sincerity becomes worthy of divine boon and direct assurance from the Lord.
The boon-granting moment is part of the Revā Khaṇḍa’s sanctifying narrative that culminates in a celebrated liṅga and tīrtha-sevā.
Tapas (austerity) is affirmed as efficacious; no detailed procedure is specified in this verse.
