गतः पितामहं सोमो वेपमानोऽमृतांशुमान् । पद्मयोने नमस्तुभ्यं वेदगर्भ नमोऽस्तु ते । शरणं त्वां प्रसन्नोऽस्मि पाहि मां कमलासन
gataḥ pitāmahaṃ somo vepamāno'mṛtāṃśumān | padmayone namastubhyaṃ vedagarbha namo'stu te | śaraṇaṃ tvāṃ prasanno'smi pāhi māṃ kamalāsana
വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, അമൃതസദൃശ കിരണങ്ങളുള്ള സോമൻ പിതാമഹൻ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു— “പദ്മയോനേ, നമസ്കാരം; വേദഗർഭാ, നമസ്കാരം. ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശരണം പ്രാപിച്ചു; പ്രസന്നനായി എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ, കമലാസനാ.”
