cakārānaśanaṃ vipraḥ śatabāhuśca bhūpatiḥ | śoṣayāmāsatustau svamīśvarārādhane ratau

Translation

വിപ്രൻ അനശനം ചെയ്തു; രാജാവ് ശതബാഹുവും അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. ഇരുവരും സ്വാമിയായ ഈശ്വരന്റെ ആരാധനയിൽ ലീനരായി തപസ്സിലൂടെ ശരീരം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
