युधिष्ठिर उवाच । सर्वदेवमयी धेनुर्गीर्वाणाद्यैरलंकृता । एतत्कथय मे तात कस्माद्गोषु समाश्रिताः

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | sarvadevamayī dhenurgīrvāṇādyairalaṃkṛtā | etatkathaya me tāta kasmādgoṣu samāśritāḥ

യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—‘ധേനു സർവ്വദേവമയിയാണ്; ഗീർവാണാദികളാൽ അലങ്കൃതയുമാണ്. താതാ, ദേവന്മാർ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഗോകളിൽ ആശ്രയം തേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് എനിക്ക് പറയുക.’
