सोऽब्रवीन्मां महादेवो ब्रह्माहं विष्णुरेव च । जगत्सर्वं मया वत्स संहृतं किं न बुध्यसे

so'bravīnmāṃ mahādevo brahmāhaṃ viṣṇureva ca | jagatsarvaṃ mayā vatsa saṃhṛtaṃ kiṃ na budhyase

അപ്പോൾ മഹാദേവൻ എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഞാൻ ബ്രഹ്മാവും ഞാനേ വിഷ്ണുവും ആകുന്നു. വത്സാ! സർവ്വജഗത്തെയും ഞാൻ സംഹരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?’
