देव्युवाच । भार्ययाभ्यर्थितो भर्ता कारणं बहु भाषते । लघुत्वं याति सा नारी एवं शास्त्रेषु पठ्यते
devyuvāca | bhāryayābhyarthito bhartā kāraṇaṃ bahu bhāṣate | laghutvaṃ yāti sā nārī evaṃ śāstreṣu paṭhyate
ദേവി പറഞ്ഞു—ഭാര്യയുടെ ആവർത്തിച്ച അപേക്ഷകളാൽ ഭർത്താവ് പല കാരണങ്ങളും പറയുന്നു; അപ്പോൾ ആ സ്ത്രീ ലഘുവായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു—ഇങ്ങനെ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളിൽ വായിക്കുന്നു।
