तावन्तो देवदैत्येन्द्राः पक्षाभ्यां तस्य जज्ञिरे । तेषां मध्ये पुनः सा तु नर्मदा भ्रमते सरित्
tāvanto devadaityendrāḥ pakṣābhyāṃ tasya jajñire | teṣāṃ madhye punaḥ sā tu narmadā bhramate sarit
അവന്റെ ഇരുചിറകുകളിൽ നിന്ന് അത്രയേറെ ദേവ-ദൈത്യേന്ദ്രന്മാർ ജനിച്ചു. അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ആ നർമദാ നദി വീണ്ടും ഒഴുകി അലയുകയായിരുന്നു.
