सूर्यग्रहे तु यः स्नात्वा दद्याद्दानं यथाविधि । हस्त्यश्वरथरत्नादि गृहं गाश्च युगंधरान्
sūryagrahe tu yaḥ snātvā dadyāddānaṃ yathāvidhi | hastyaśvaratharatnādi gṛhaṃ gāśca yugaṃdharān
സൂര്യഗ്രഹണസമയത്ത് ആരെങ്കിലും ഇവിടെ സ്നാനം ചെയ്ത് വിധിപ്രകാരം ദാനം ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കിൽ—ആന, കുതിര, രഥം, രത്നാദി, വീടുകൾ, നുകത്തിൽ കെട്ടാൻ യോഗ്യമായ പശുക്കൾ—അവൻ മഹാപുണ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു।
