A woman of the settlement (nāri)
Tirtha: Ekādaśī (as sacred time) at Revā-tīrtha
Type: kshetra
Listener: The inquirer observing the bathers (implied)
Scene: A local woman explains to an inquirer that today is the auspicious Ekādaśī, capable of destroying sins; bathers continue their rites in the background.
Ekādaśī fasting purifies the practitioner; disciplined restraint (upavāsa) is praised as a path to merit and higher worlds.
The verse itself glorifies Ekādaśī; the broader narrative setting remains the Revā sacred region.
Upoṣa/Upavāsa (fasting) on Ekādaśī is prescribed as highly meritorious.
