ततः स्वभर्तुर्वचनाच्छबरी प्रस्थिता तदा । पप्रच्छ नारीं दृष्ट्वाग्रे दत्त्वाग्रे कमले शुभे
tataḥ svabharturvacanācchabarī prasthitā tadā | papraccha nārīṃ dṛṣṭvāgre dattvāgre kamale śubhe
അപ്പോൾ ഭർത്താവിന്റെ വചനപ്രകാരം ശബരി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. മുന്നിൽ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, ആദ്യം ശുഭമായ താമരപ്പൂക്കൾ അർപ്പിച്ച് പിന്നെ അവളോട് ചോദിച്ചു.
