ततः पितुर्मतेनैव गङ्गातीरं गता सती । अवगाह्य तटे द्वे तु गङ्गायाः स नराधिप
tataḥ piturmatenaiva gaṅgātīraṃ gatā satī | avagāhya taṭe dve tu gaṅgāyāḥ sa narādhipa
അതിനുശേഷം പിതാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശപ്രകാരം ആ സതി ഗംഗാതീരത്തേക്ക് പോയി. ശുദ്ധിക്കായി ഗംഗയിൽ അവഗാഹനം ചെയ്ത്, ഹേ നരാധിപ, ഗംഗയുടെ ഇരുകരകളിലും അവൾ നിലകൊണ്ടു।
