चित्रसेन उवाच । विज्ञापयामि विप्रर्षे क्षन्तव्यं ते ममोपरि । नाहं विप्रोऽस्मि वै तात न वैश्यो न च शूद्रजः
citrasena uvāca | vijñāpayāmi viprarṣe kṣantavyaṃ te mamopari | nāhaṃ vipro'smi vai tāta na vaiśyo na ca śūdrajaḥ
ചിത്രസേനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിപ്രർഷേ, ഞാൻ വിനയത്തോടെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു മേൽ ക്ഷമ കാണിക്കണം. താതാ, ഞാൻ ബ്രാഹ്മണനല്ല, വൈശ്യനല്ല, ശൂദ്രജന്മനും അല്ല.
