Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 4
देवा ऊचुः । जय देव जगद्वन्द्य जय संसृतिकारक । पद्मयोने सुरश्रेष्ठ त्वामेव शरणं गताः
devā ūcuḥ | jaya deva jagadvandya jaya saṃsṛtikāraka | padmayone suraśreṣṭha tvāmeva śaraṇaṃ gatāḥ
ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു—ജയം, ഹേ ജഗദ്വന്ദ്യ ദേവാ! ജയം, ഹേ സംസാരക്രമത്തിന്റെ കര്ത്താവേ! ഹേ പദ്മയോനേ, സുരശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ ശരണത്തിലേക്കേ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു।
