पितेव पुत्रं परिरक्ष देव जहीन्द्रशत्रुं सह पुत्रपौत्रैः । तथेति चोक्तः कमलासनेन सुरासुरैर्वन्दितपादपद्मः
piteva putraṃ parirakṣa deva jahīndraśatruṃ saha putrapautraiḥ | tatheti coktaḥ kamalāsanena surāsurairvanditapādapadmaḥ
ഹേ ദേവാ, പിതാവ് പുത്രനെ കാക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളെ കാക്കുക; ഇന്ദ്രശത്രുവിനെ പുത്രപൗത്രങ്ങളോടുകൂടി സംഹരിക്കുക. കമലാസനനായ ബ്രഹ്മാവ് ഇങ്ങനെ അപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ദേവാസുരർ വന്ദിച്ച പാദപദ്മങ്ങളുള്ള ഭഗവാൻ ‘തഥാസ്തു’ എന്നു അരുളി ചെയ്തു.
