गतं न पश्यत्यात्मानं प्रजासंतापनेन च । गृहीत्वा शक्रभार्यां स गतो वै दानवोत्तमः
gataṃ na paśyatyātmānaṃ prajāsaṃtāpanena ca | gṛhītvā śakrabhāryāṃ sa gato vai dānavottamaḥ
പ്രജകളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചതിന്റെ മദത്തിൽ അവൻ തന്റെ തന്നെ വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന പതനം കാണാതെ പോയി; ശക്രന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത് ആ ദാനവശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ അവിടെ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
