स एवमन्धकस्तत्र कियन्तं कालमावसत् । हृष्टस्तुष्टो वसन्मर्त्ये स सुरैर्नाभ्यभूयत
sa evamandhakastatra kiyantaṃ kālamāvasat | hṛṣṭastuṣṭo vasanmartye sa surairnābhyabhūyata
ഇങ്ങനെ അന്ധകൻ അവിടെ ദീർഘകാലം താമസിച്ചു—മർത്ത്യലോകത്തിൽ ഹർഷിതനും തൃപ്തനുമായി വസിച്ചു; ദേവന്മാർക്കും അവനെ കീഴടക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
