चतुर्वर्षसहस्राणि व्यतीयुः परमेश्वर । न केनापीदृशं तप्तं तपो दृष्टं श्रुतं तथा
caturvarṣasahasrāṇi vyatīyuḥ parameśvara | na kenāpīdṛśaṃ taptaṃ tapo dṛṣṭaṃ śrutaṃ tathā
“ഹേ പരമേശ്വരാ! നാലായിരം വർഷങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇത്തരമൊരു തപസ്സ് ആരും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല, കേട്ടിട്ടില്ലയും—ഇത്ര ഉഗ്രമായി ആരും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.”
