याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच । अपवित्रो मया भद्रे स्वप्नो दृष्टोऽद्य वै निशि । सक्लेदं तत्र मे वस्त्रं निक्षिप्तं तन्न दृश्यते
yājñavalkya uvāca | apavitro mayā bhadre svapno dṛṣṭo'dya vai niśi | sakledaṃ tatra me vastraṃ nikṣiptaṃ tanna dṛśyate
യാജ്ഞവൽക്ക്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഭദ്രേ, ഇന്നിരാത്രി ഞാൻ അപവിത്രമായ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു. അതുകൊണ്ട് നനഞ്ഞ എന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അവിടെ വെച്ചു; ഇപ്പോൾ അത് കാണുന്നില്ല.”
