मनुनोक्तं पुरा मह्यममृतायाः समुद्भवम् । पुण्यं पवित्रमतुलं रुद्रोद्गीतमिदं शुभम्
manunoktaṃ purā mahyamamṛtāyāḥ samudbhavam | puṇyaṃ pavitramatulaṃ rudrodgītamidaṃ śubham
പണ്ടുകാലത്ത് മനു എനിക്ക് അമൃതയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള അവളുടെ ഉദ്ഭവം പറഞ്ഞു—ഇത് പുണ്യകരവും പവിത്രവും അതുല്യവും മംഗളകരവും ആയ വൃത്താന്തം; രുദ്രൻ ഗീതമായി ഉച്ചരിച്ചതാണ്.
