सुकृतं दुष्कृतं वाऽपि तत्र तीर्थेऽक्षयं भवेत् । एष ते विधिरुद्दिष्ट उत्पत्तिश्चैव भारत
sukṛtaṃ duṣkṛtaṃ vā'pi tatra tīrthe'kṣayaṃ bhavet | eṣa te vidhiruddiṣṭa utpattiścaiva bhārata
ആ തീർത്ഥത്തിൽ ചെയ്ത പുണ്യമോ പാപമോ—അതിന്റ ഫലം അക്ഷയമാകും. ഹേ ഭാരതാ, ഇതിന്റെ വിധിയും ഉത്ഭവവൃത്താന്തവും നിനക്കു വിശദീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
