अथान्ये दानवास्तत्र दह्यन्तेऽग्निविमोहिताः । न शक्ताश्चान्यतो गन्तुं धूमेनाकुलिताननाः । हंसकारण्डवाकीर्णा नलिन्यो हेमपङ्कजाः
athānye dānavāstatra dahyante'gnivimohitāḥ | na śaktāścānyato gantuṃ dhūmenākulitānanāḥ | haṃsakāraṇḍavākīrṇā nalinyo hemapaṅkajāḥ
അപ്പോൾ അവിടെ മറ്റുദാനവരും അഗ്നിയാൽ മോഹിതരായി ദഹിച്ചു. പുകകൊണ്ട് മുഖങ്ങൾ ആകുലമായതിനാൽ അവർ മറ്റെവിടെയും പോകാൻ കഴിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. ഹംസങ്ങളും കാരണ്ഡവപ്പക്ഷികളും നിറഞ്ഞ നലിനികളിൽ സ്വർണ്ണപദ്മങ്ങൾ വിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു।
