എള്ളുകലർന്ന ജലത്തോടെ പിതൃദേവതകൾക്ക് തർപ്പണം ചെയ്താൽ പിതൃകൾ തൃപ്തരാകും; പിണ്ഡദാനത്തിലൂടെ ‘പൈണ്ഡരീക’ എന്ന പുണ്യഫലം ലഭിക്കും.
