उद्दिश्य चाग्निजं देवं ब्राह्मणे वेदपारगे । तस्याः पुत्रो यथा स्कन्दो देवसङ्घेषु चोत्तमः

uddiśya cāgnijaṃ devaṃ brāhmaṇe vedapārage | tasyāḥ putro yathā skando devasaṅgheṣu cottamaḥ

അഗ്നിജ ദേവൻ (സ്കന്ദൻ)നെ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച്, വേദപാരംഗതനായ ബ്രാഹ്മണന് ദാനം ചെയ്താൽ, അവളുടെ പുത്രൻ സ്കന്ദനെപ്പോലെ ദേവസംഘങ്ങളിൽ ഉത്തമനാകും.
