तिर्यग्यवोदराण्यष्टावूर्ध्वा वा व्रीहयस्त्रयः । प्रमाणमङ्गुलस्याहुर्वितस्तिर्द्वादशांगुला

കുറുകെ വെച്ച എട്ട് യവധാന്യങ്ങൾ—അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നേരെ നിർത്തി വെച്ച മൂന്ന് അരിമണികൾ—ഇതാണ് ഒരു അങ്കുലത്തിന്റെ അളവെന്ന് പറയുന്നു. വിതസ്തി പന്ത്രണ്ട് അങ്കുലമാണ്.
