Śiva (Śaṅkara)
Tirtha: Saṅgama (near Loṭaṇeśvara)
Type: sangam
Scene: At a river confluence, pilgrims bathe; nearby, devotees form a circle singing and dancing with cymbals and drums, facing a small shrine where lamps are lit as if ‘awakening’ the Lord.
Tīrtha-bathing is to be completed with celebratory devotion—praise, song, and ritual awakening—uniting purity with bhakti.
A saṅgama (sacred confluence) within the Revā Khaṇḍa geography connected to Loṭaṇeśvara’s worship-cycle.
Snāna at the confluence, performance of puṇya-karmas, and prabodhana through gīta (singing) and nṛtya (dance).
