तं तदा चार्जुनं दृष्ट्वा जमदग्निः प्रतापवान् । चरन्तं मृगयां गत्वा ह्यातिथ्येन न्यमन्त्रयत्
taṃ tadā cārjunaṃ dṛṣṭvā jamadagniḥ pratāpavān | carantaṃ mṛgayāṃ gatvā hyātithyena nyamantrayat
അപ്പോൾ മഹാതേജസ്സനായ ജമദഗ്നി, വേട്ടയ്ക്കായി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന അർജുനനെ കണ്ടു, അതിഥിധർമ്മപ്രകാരം ആദരത്തോടെ আতിഥ്യത്തിനായി ക്ഷണിച്ചു।
