आलोकितानि शास्त्राणि वेदाः साङ्गाः स्मृतीरपि । पुराणानि च मीमांसा दृष्टमस्माभिरत्र च
ālokitāni śāstrāṇi vedāḥ sāṅgāḥ smṛtīrapi | purāṇāni ca mīmāṃsā dṛṣṭamasmābhiratra ca
“ഞങ്ങൾ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പരിശോധിച്ചു—സാംഗവേദങ്ങൾ, സ്മൃതികൾ, പുരാണങ്ങൾ, മീമാംസയും; ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ കാണേണ്ട വിധി ഞങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.”
