पुरोहितं समाहूय ब्राह्मणांश्च तथा बहून् । न गृहे कार्त्तिकीं कुर्यादेतन्मे बहुशः श्रुतम्
purohitaṃ samāhūya brāhmaṇāṃśca tathā bahūn | na gṛhe kārttikīṃ kuryādetanme bahuśaḥ śrutam
അവൻ പുരോഹിതനെ വിളിച്ചു വരുത്തി, അനേകം ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞു—“ഗൃഹത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കാർത്തികീ വ്രതം ചെയ്യരുത്; ഇത് ഞാൻ പലവട്ടം കേട്ടതാണ്.”
