yuṣmābhiḥ śrīpatiḥ pūjyaḥ snānaṃ cāvabhṛthaṃ kutaḥ | bhaviṣyatīti tenāśu idaṃ vo'rthe vinirmitam
Īśvara (Śiva/Rudra)
Tirtha: Devātīrtha (implied by immediate context of the passage)
Type: ghat
Listener: Devas addressed as 'tridaśeśānāḥ' (lords of the gods)
Scene: A sacred ford newly manifested: devas and sages stand at a luminous water-edge; a subtle Viṣṇu-presence (Śrīpati) is implied as the cause; the atmosphere suggests yajña-completion without separate avabhṛtha.
Direct devotion (pūjā) to the Lord is presented as the heart of ritual; divine compassion also supplies the needed means for completion.
The same Revā tīrtha where Viṣṇu’s pādodaka manifests—created “for your purpose” as the avabhṛtha medium.
It reframes the avabhṛtha: worship of Śrīpati is central, and the tīrtha-water is provided to fulfill the bath requirement.
