अक्षिरोगस्तथा राजंश्चन्द्रहास्ये विनश्यति । चन्द्रहास्ये तु यो गत्वा ग्रहणे चन्द्रसूर्ययोः । स्नानं समाचरेद्भक्त्या मुच्यते सर्वपातकैः
akṣirogastathā rājaṃścandrahāsye vinaśyati | candrahāsye tu yo gatvā grahaṇe candrasūryayoḥ | snānaṃ samācaredbhaktyā mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ
ഹേ രാജാവേ, ചന്ദ്രഹാസ്യത്തിൽ നേത്രരോഗവും നശിക്കുന്നു. ചന്ദ്രഗ്രഹണമോ സൂര്യഗ്രഹണമോ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ ചന്ദ്രഹാസ്യത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ഭക്തിയോടെ സ്നാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ സർവ്വപാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിതനാകുന്നു।
