गौरुवाच । किमहं विस्मृता तुभ्यं विश्वरूपा महेश्वरी । नर्मदा धर्मदा न्ःणां स्वर्गशर्मबलप्रदा
gauruvāca | kimahaṃ vismṛtā tubhyaṃ viśvarūpā maheśvarī | narmadā dharmadā nḥṇāṃ svargaśarmabalapradā
ഗൗരി പറഞ്ഞു—നീ എന്നെ മറന്നോ? ഞാൻ വിശ്വരൂപിണിയായ മഹേശ്വരി, നർമദ; മനുഷ്യർക്കു ധർമ്മം നൽകുന്നവൾ, സ്വർഗ്ഗസുഖവും അതിലേക്കുള്ള ബലവും പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവൾ।
