युधिष्ठिर उवाच । कथमुदीर्णरूपोऽभूद्वाराहो धरणीधरः । वाराहत्वं गतः केन पञ्चमः केन संज्ञितः
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | kathamudīrṇarūpo'bhūdvārāho dharaṇīdharaḥ | vārāhatvaṃ gataḥ kena pañcamaḥ kena saṃjñitaḥ
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “ധരണീധരനായ വരാഹൻ ആ മഹാരൂപത്തിൽ എങ്ങനെ ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചു? ആരുടെ കാരണത്താൽ അദ്ദേഹം വരാഹത്വം സ്വീകരിച്ചു? ‘പഞ്ചമൻ’ എന്നു എന്തുകൊണ്ട് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു?”
