स्मृतिवेदपुराणेषु यदुक्तं तत्तथा भवेत् । इति निश्चित्य तं विप्रमुवाच प्रहसन्निव
smṛtivedapurāṇeṣu yaduktaṃ tattathā bhavet | iti niścitya taṃ vipramuvāca prahasanniva
‘സ്മൃതി, വേദം, പുരാണം എന്നിവയിൽ പറഞ്ഞത് തീർച്ചയായും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകും.’ എന്ന് നിശ്ചയിച്ച്, അദ്ദേഹം ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണനോട് പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ പറഞ്ഞു।
