tatra sthāne tu ye nityaṃ dhyāyanti paramaṃ padam | sūkṣmaṃ cātīndriyaṃ nityaṃ te dhanyā nātra saṃśayaḥ
Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Muktitīrtha
Type: ghat
Scene: A quiet riverbank tīrtha at dawn; a yogin seated in padmāsana beneath a sacred tree, eyes half-closed, with a faint inner radiance suggesting the ‘sūkṣma’ Supreme; pilgrims in the distance maintain silence.
The highest fruit of a sacred place is inner absorption—meditation on the Supreme beyond sensory life.
The ‘tatra sthāne’ refers to the same praised tīrtha-context in this adhyāya, centered on Bhūtīśvara/Muktitīrtha in Revā Khaṇḍa.
Regular dhyāna (daily meditation) on the paramaṃ padam, described as subtle and beyond the senses.
