Mārkaṇḍeya (contextual, addressing a king: rājendra)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: King (rājendra)
Scene: A priest and pilgrim at a riverside Śiva shrine perform liṅga-pūraṇaka: the liṅga is richly anointed/decorated; lotuses are piled; a bowl of dadhibhakta is offered; the king is addressed as rājendra.
Sacred places amplify devotion: proper Śiva-worship with flowers and food offerings becomes especially meritorious at a tīrtha.
A particular tīrtha on the Revā/Narmadā described in Revā Khaṇḍa, Āvantya Khaṇḍa.
Liṅga-pūraṇaka-vidhi (a prescribed liṅga-adorning rite), offering lotuses, and offering dadhi-bhakta as naivedya.
