tacchrutvā sahasā tasmai cukopa parameśvaraḥ | chedayāmāsa bhagavānmūrdhānaṃ karajaistadā

അത് കേട്ട ഉടൻ പരമേശ്വരൻ അവനോടു ക്രോധിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ തന്റെ നഖങ്ങളാൽ (ഒരു) ശിരസ് ഛേദിച്ചു.
