देवपन्न उवाच । यदि तुष्टासि देवेशि वरार्हो यदि वाप्यहम् । पुत्रसन्तानरहितं संतप्तं मां समुद्धर
devapanna uvāca | yadi tuṣṭāsi deveśi varārho yadi vāpyaham | putrasantānarahitaṃ saṃtaptaṃ māṃ samuddhara
ദേവപന്നൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവേശി! നീ സന്തുഷ്ടയാണെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ വരത്തിന് അർഹനാണെങ്കിൽ, പുത്രസന്താനരഹിതനായി ദുഃഖിതനായ എന്നെ ഈ താപത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയർത്തി രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
