तत्र तीर्थे तु यः स्नात्वा तर्पयेत्पितृदेवताः । वाजपेयफलं तस्य पुरा प्रोवाच शङ्करः
tatra tīrthe tu yaḥ snātvā tarpayetpitṛdevatāḥ | vājapeyaphalaṃ tasya purā provāca śaṅkaraḥ
ആ തീർത്ഥത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ചെയ്ത് പിതൃദേവതകൾക്കും ദേവന്മാർക്കും തർപ്പണം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്, ശങ്കരൻ പണ്ടേ വാജപേയ യാഗഫലത്തോടു തുല്യമായ ഫലം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു।
