श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । पुरा कल्पे नृपश्रेष्ठ ऋषिदेवसमागमे । प्रश्नः पृष्टो मया तात यथा त्वमनुपृच्छसि
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | purā kalpe nṛpaśreṣṭha ṛṣidevasamāgame | praśnaḥ pṛṣṭo mayā tāta yathā tvamanupṛcchasi
ശ്രീ മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നൃപശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! പുരാകൽപ്പത്തിൽ ഋഷി-ദേവസമാഗമത്തിൽ, ഹേ താത, നീ ഇപ്പോൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഈ ചോദ്യം ഞാനും ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നു।
