tatra tīrthe tu yaddānaṃ snānaṃ devārcanaṃ nṛpa | tatsarvamakṣayaṃ tasya ityevaṃ śaṅkaro'bravīt
Śaṅkara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (as in adhyāya 142)
Type: ghat
Listener: Nṛpa / king
Scene: A king listens as Śaṅkara (Śiva) declares the rule: offerings, bathing, and worship at the tīrtha become imperishable; scenes show pilgrims bathing, giving alms, and performing pūjā.
Actions aligned with dharma—dāna, snāna, and worship—gain heightened and lasting spiritual fruit when performed at a sanctified tīrtha.
A revered tīrtha within the Revā (Narmadā) sacred landscape, as described in the Revā Khaṇḍa.
Dāna (charity), snāna (holy bathing), and devārcana (worship/offerings to deities) at the tīrtha are recommended.
