एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु वचनं घोरं मातृमुखोद्भवम् । केचित्प्रविष्टा रोमाणि तथान्ये गिरिसंस्थिताः
etacchrutvā tu vacanaṃ ghoraṃ mātṛmukhodbhavam | kecitpraviṣṭā romāṇi tathānye girisaṃsthitāḥ
അമ്മയുടെ വായിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന ആ ഘോരമായ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട്, ചിലർ (കുതിരയുടെ) രോമങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു, മറ്റുള്ളവർ പർവതങ്ങളിൽ അഭയം പ്രാപിച്ചു.
