ततस्तस्यामतीतायां सन्ध्यायां नृपसत्तम । शेषं मानुष्यमेकं तु काले वर्षशतं स्थितम्
tatastasyāmatītāyāṃ sandhyāyāṃ nṛpasattama | śeṣaṃ mānuṣyamekaṃ tu kāle varṣaśataṃ sthitam
അതിനുശേഷം, ഹേ നൃപസത്തമാ! ആ സന്ധ്യാകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഒരു മനുഷ്യകാലം മാത്രമേ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നുള്ളൂ; എങ്കിലും കാലപ്രവാഹത്തിൽ അത് നൂറുവർഷം നിലനിന്നു.
