भार्या तस्यैव या दृष्टा चित्तज्ञा वशवर्तिनी । दृष्ट्वा निपातितं पुत्रं काष्ठैर्निर्भिन्नमस्तकम्
bhāryā tasyaiva yā dṛṣṭā cittajñā vaśavartinī | dṛṣṭvā nipātitaṃ putraṃ kāṣṭhairnirbhinnamastakam
അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ—ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നവൾ, പതിവ്രത, ഭർത്താവിന്റെ ഇച്ഛയ്ക്ക് കീഴടങ്ങിയവൾ—മകൻ വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതും, മരക്കട്ടകളാൽ തല തകർന്നതും കണ്ടു.
