Samhita Patha (Devanagari) तं य॒ज्ञं ब॒र्हिषि॒ प्रौक्ष॒न् पुरु॑षं जा॒तम॑ग्र॒तः । तेन॑ दे॒वा अ॑यजन्त सा॒ध्या ऋष॑यश्च॒ ये
Transliteration táṃ yajñáṃ bárhiṣi práukṣan púruṣaṃ jātám agratáḥ | téna devā́ ayajanta sā́dhyā ṛ́ṣayaś ca yé
Translation ആ യജ്ഞത്തെ—ആദ്യത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച പുരുഷനെ—ബർഹിഷി (പവിത്ര കുശപ്പുല്ലിൽ) പ്രോക്ഷണം ചെയ്തു; അവനാൽ ദേവന്മാർ യജിച്ചു; സാദ്ധ്യദേവന്മാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഋഷിമാരും കൂടി.
