भस्म–रुद्राक्ष–शिवनाममाहात्म्य
The Greatness of Bhasma, Rudrākṣa, and the Name of Śiva
यस्या साधारणं शंभुनाम्नि भक्तिरखंडिता । तस्यैव मोक्षः सुलभो नान्यस्येति मतिर्मम
yasyā sādhāraṇaṃ śaṃbhunāmni bhaktirakhaṃḍitā | tasyaiva mokṣaḥ sulabho nānyasyeti matirmama
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a single shrine; it states a doctrinal conclusion: uninterrupted (akhaṇḍa) devotion to Śambhu-nāma uniquely makes mokṣa ‘easy’—a practical summary of nāma-upāsanā as the sure upāya.
Significance: Frames the pilgrim’s ideal inner pilgrimage: continuous remembrance (smaraṇa/japa) as the most accessible path to liberation.
Type: panchakshara
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It teaches that continuous, undistracted devotion to Śiva—especially through reliance on His name—becomes the direct and accessible means to moksha, emphasizing bhakti as a primary liberating path.
Devotion to Śambhu’s name naturally supports Saguna worship such as Linga-pūjā; the name (nāma) functions as a readily available form of Śiva for the devotee, stabilizing remembrance and surrender even beyond formal ritual.
Regular nāma-japa—especially pañcākṣarī japa (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—with unwavering consistency is implied as the practical discipline that keeps devotion ‘unbroken’ and oriented toward liberation.
