FAQs

It presents the Lord (Pati) as the ultimate source from whom the supports of dharma—Soma, heaven, earth, fire, sun, and even yajña—arise, implying that all sacred action becomes fruitful only when rooted in the Supreme Shaiva principle.

By declaring that yajña itself originates from the Supreme, the verse supports the Shiva Purana’s emphasis that external rites culminate in devotion to Saguna Shiva—often centered on Linga worship—where the Lord is approached as the living ground of all cosmic functions.

Treat worship as an inner yajña: offer the mind and senses into the ‘fire’ of awareness while repeating the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); outwardly, simple Shiva-archana with water and bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) aligns one’s sacrifice with its divine source.
