tṛṇādiśivamūrtyaṃtaṃ viśvakhyātiśayakramaḥ | sannikarṣakramavaśāttayoriti parā śrutiḥ

Translation

പുല്ലിന്റെ തുമ്പിൽ നിന്ന് ശിവമൂർത്തിവരെ ലോകപ്രശസ്തിയിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠതാക്രമം കാണപ്പെടുന്നു; എന്നാൽ പരമശ്രുതി പ്രകാരം ജീവനും ശിവനും—ഈ രണ്ടിലും സമീപതയുടെ ക്രമം മൂലം ‘ഇദം-ഭാവം’ വെളിവാകുന്നു।
